S.T.L.E. Certified Experts
What is a Certified Lubrication Specialist?
Eight members of our staff have achieved this certification (often referred to as a “CLS”) by demonstrating proficiency with industrial lubricant applications in passing the rigorous qualification standards of the Society of Tribologists and Lubrication Engineers. Tribology is the branch of engineering that deals with the interaction of surfaces in relative motion, as in bearings or gears, which is an integral part of managing a maintenance program in an industrial or manufacturing application. There are only a few hundred Certified Lubrication Specialists in the world, and even fewer have the dual designation of CLS and OMA (Certified Oil Monitoring Analyst). An “OMA” has a proven proficiency in analyzing and interpreting oil analysis results, condition based maintenance, contamination control, oil sampling methods, oil testing, and data management. Experienced and skilled lubricants professionals ensure our clients are maximizing their maintenance dollars. Parman Energy is proud to offer our customers four, dual-certified technical representatives.
Oil Analysis
Oil analysis programs go beyond regular preventative maintenance. Data obtained though oil analysis can be used to predict equipment performance. This data can point out particular components that are in need of repair and help you establish a predictive maintenance program. With our proprietary Parchek oil analysis system, our customers are able to obtain reports electronically, with special notices of any abnormal or critical results. Our customers' complete histories of lab results can be accessed on line, with a number of management reports to assist in overall maintenance efforts. Our in-house oil monitoring analysts review results daily and are available to consult with customers about interpretation of the results and remedial measures. Our STLE certified OMAs can also assist in oil analysis training, including how to properly take samples, how to complete paperwork, and how to interpret and act on results.
Plant Surveys
A team of technical specialists is available to survey the lubrication points throughout your plant. A lube audit can reveal any potential misapplications, identify product consolidation opportunities, and verify that the best lubricant choices and practices are being used. More detailed surveys can chart each lube point in the plant, including suggested drain and sampling intervals. A variety of lubricant guides and other documentation can be furnished based upon the data collected in the lube survey.
Lubricator Training
Parman Energy technical specialists can provide training to enhance lubricator knowledge and skills. Topics covered include lubrication fundamentals, base oils, synthetic lubricants, gear oil, hydraulic fluids, motor oils, grease, specialty lubricants, housekeeping and best practices, and oil analysis. Parman Energy customizes sessions to suit your specific company needs. Please contact your Parman representative to discuss your training needs.
Inventory Management Tools
Parman Energy is pleased to assist in the task of managing your inventory. Based upon a review of your lubricant usage, we can suggest optimum package styles per product, and we can help establish minimum/maximum inventory levels to facilitate just-in-time delivery. Streamlining your inventory contributes to reduced costs of waste, loss, and misapplications. In addition to our TankEyeTM remote tank monitoring system, we can help you monitor your inventory through periodic visits and/or other communications.
